Golf Fitness Stretching and Exercises to Improve Your Golf Swing

Golf fitness stretching and corollary golf exercises are an easy way to improve your golf swing. The utilization of golf exercises within a golf fitness program can enhance many aspects of the golf swing and your golf game. The amateur golfer can improve their ability to execute the golf swing, complete a full shoulder turn, generate more clubhead speed, and hit more accurate shots with improved flexibility. The process an amateur golfer can improve their flexibility is through golf stretches.

Before providing information on what are the best stretches for golfer let us define flexibility. Flexibility refers to range of motion. It is defined as the optimal extensibility of all soft tissues in the body (Michael Clark, Director, National Academy of Sports Medicine). The biomechanics of the swing require the golfer to swing the club on the correct plane. In order for the biomechanics of the swing to be executed correctly every muscle, ligament, and tendon in the body must allow for optimal joint range of motion.

Increased flexibility is the benefit of stretching. These benefits occur through the elongation (ie stretching) of soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments). Typically certain muscles in your body are in a shortened position (ie "tight"), causing restrictions in the golf swing. Golf stretches (ie elongating) these muscles alleviates these muscles alleviates these restrictions allowing for the ranges of motion required of the golf swing to develop.

Because the golf swing requires a large range of motion from multiple joints (ankle, hip, thoracic spine, and shoulder), I suggest performing a series of flexibility exercises for the entire body. Many golfers will find "tightness" in the hamstrings, hips, lower, and upper back causing restrictions in their joint range of motions as well as golf swing. This may require additional golf stretches to assist in the restrictions caused by these muscles.

Guidelines to golf stretches are quite simple. A comprehensive series of stretches for golf should be completed a minimum of four times per week. If an individual desires these exercises can be performed daily. In addition to performing golf stretches multiple times per week each exercise should be take each target muscle passively to the point of "tension" and holding the stretch for 30 seconds. Do not attempt to "bounce" or "push" the stretch for this can result in injury. Pay strict attention to technique with each of your stretches. It also recommended to perform a warm-up prior to your golf stretches to get more out of each exercise. The following are the stretches I often recommend to the amateur player; Rotators, 90/90 Hamstrings, Cats Down, Cats Up, Piriformis, Kneeling Hip Flexor, Openers, Standing Calf, and Standing Quadriceps.

Remember how golf fitness stretches and other types of golf exercises can improve many aspects of your golf swing. The placement of golf fitness stretches in a golf training program is one step to improvement in your golf swing. Keep in mind what is required from the body in regards to the golf swing, and that one of these …

Omega 3 Recommended Dose to Prevent Internal Bleeding

If you take fish oil supplements, it is important not to exceed the omega 3 recommended dose. Fish oil supplements contain essential omega-3 fatty acids which are good for the health of your body. Therefore taking regular fish oil supplements can only be good for you, right? Not entirely. You can actually have too much of a good thing.

The reason that you need to be careful is because apart from all the good things omega 3 does – and it does plenty – it also has the unique ability to prevent your blood platelets from sticking together and forming dangerous clots. Again, this is a good thing because by thinning your blood it reduces high blood pressure and lessens the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

But this is where you need to be careful. If you take too much blood thinning agents, the anticoagulants can lead to internal bleeding. Gastrointestinal bleeding and bleeding in your brain are two of the most common side effects. This internal bleeding is not something to be taken lightly as it requires urgent medical attention. Keep an eye out for bleeding when you use the toilet, or if you notice that you are beginning to bruise easily or cuts will not stop bleeding for a long time. These are classic symptoms of your blood becoming too thin.

Fortunately, there is an easy solution. Simply cut back on the fish oil supplements you are talking. The main reason this can happen to people is because they follow the manufacturers’ instructions on the label of the bottle and take whatever it tells them. But this can vary anywhere from two thousand to twelve thousand milligrams per day. Studies have shown that taking up to four thousand milligrams per day is the omega 3 recommended dose. As long as you stick within this range you will be perfectly safe. You will get all the benefits of omega-3 fish oil, without any of the dangers.

And there are many outstanding benefits. Our bodies can not manufacture omega-3. We need to either get it from the food we eat or through supplements. Fish is the best way to get it naturally and a diet rich in cold water fish like tuna, mackerel, herring and salmon is recommended. Unfortunately, much of the fish caught today comes from waters contaminated by PCBs, mercury and other chemicals that can damage your body.

So fish oil supplements are the easiest and best way to get the omega 3 your body needs to fight off cardiovascular disease, blocked arteries, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, bowel disease, Alzheimer’s and depression. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to fighting these diseases and that is why you need them. If you would like to know more about the benefits of fish oil supplements and the omega 3 recommended dose, please visit my website.…

Why Is Physical Fitness Important

Physical fitness means different things to different people. For some, it is the ability to engage in sports activities; for others, it is more about feeling and looking good. With obesity now considered to be a pandemic in our society, more and more people are seeking out diet plans, exercise programs, and holistic approaches to improve their lifestyle. Health is on everyone's mind today; sometimes it is time. Why is physical fitness important?

Anyone who has been sedentary for a period of time knows how difficult it is to complete even the simplest of tasks. Your doctor probably tells you to lose weight; your nutritionist mandates you maintain a proper diet regimen; your gym instructor guides you in repetitive exercise programs to achieve a pre-planned fitness level. While everyone involved is focused on you becoming more fit and healthy; what are you contributing to the equation?

Let's face it; dieting is hard and exercise is even harder. However, in order to become physically fit, there has to be a balance of proper nutrition, dental and health care, rest, and relaxation. It all begins inside you. You must have the willingness, determination and drive to end all of the hardships necessary to enhance your overall health. Physical fitness will give you more energy than you've ever before, and allow you to enjoy life to its fullest. This requires goal-setting. No one is asking you to compete for gold medals; all that is required is a safe and effective method of physical exercise to improve your heart, lungs, and muscle development. Unused muscles lead to atrophy; which is why simple aerobic exercises are a great place to begin.

When you start an aerobic exercise, you're heart, lungs and muscles work together to improve cardiovascular function. Whatever you jog in place, walk for twenty minutes a day, or run; These exercises are an important part in physical fitness training. However, you must start slowly. If you have never exercised before, it will take time for your body to acclimate. It is not important what you do, but how you do it. Proper physical fitness training can mean the difference between a good exercise workout, and one which may lead to injury.

Joining a gym is an appropriate place to begin. There, professionals will walk you through each piece of equipment; explain its function; and demonstrate how to use the equipment properly. Perhaps the exercise bike may be a suitable place to begin. Twenty minutes, three times a week is a good exercise workout. Occasionally, you will gain the confidence you need to pursue other more strenuous exercises. Ask a friend to join the gym with you. Having someone there to partner with allows each of you to enjoy the experience of exercising while, at the same time, encouraging each other to continue particularly when it becomes hard and frustrating.

Take out the five pound weights gathering dust in your closet, and begin using them at home. It's time to stop others from telling …

Teen Drug Abuse – The Dangers of Cough Medicine Abuse – Robo-Tripping

Robo tripping is one of the street names for cough medicine abuse, a growing form of drug abuse. Sometimes referred to as "robo-tripping", cough medicine abuse has increased dramatically in recent years. Whether in syrup form or tablet form, teenagers and children often consume huge and potentially lethal doses of cough medicine in their quest to get high from Dextromethorphan, which is an active ingredient capable of offering relief from coughs.

According to a recent study by the National Institute of Drug Abuse involving over 48,000 students, out of the ten most common drugs being abused by those in the 12th grade, at least seven are either available over the counter or else they are prescribed. Hardly surprising habits, but cough medicine ranks relatively high.

Astonishingly enough, kids frequently take up to fifty times the recommended dose when robo-tripping in order to get the desired results. These results include going into a trance like state, hallucinating or "tripping". However, it comes as little surprise that in some circumstances, such a significant dose can prove to be fatal.

Understanding the Effects & Risks

Contrary to what some may believe, cough medicine abuse is without doubt just as dangerous as any illegal drugs. Because of the very nature of DXM (Dextromethorphan), the effects vary depending on the dosage taken and most abusers compare the effects to different plateaus. While some teenagers describe it as a very mild stimulant, others may experience hallucinations or even total dissociation from the body. In fact, because DXM's only produce effects when such huge doses are taken, the line is thin between attaining a trance or zoning out and losing consciousness.

Because of the way in which the drug effects one's visual perception and cognitive processes, coupled with the fact that these effects can last for up to six hours, abusers are at risk of causing injury to themselves and others while under the influence. Judgment and impulse control may be affected.

Essentially, large doses of DXM can produce alarming effects such as the inability to move one's arms or legs, or even the inability to talk. In fact, such high doses may also result in slow breathing, cerebral hemorrhages, brain damage, stroke, or even death. Furthermore, if the drug is abused when one is over exerting oneself, such as in nightclubs or raves, or if it's abused in an exceptionally warm environment, the abuser is at risk of hypothermia.

In addition to the serious risks already mentioned above, DXM abuse can also result in nausea, irregular heartbeat, increased blood pressure, head pains, abdominal pain, loss of feeling in fingers and toes, unconsciousness, seizures and death.

There are literally thousands of overdose cases reported by the emergency services across the country and according to the authorities, there seems to be a tension for DXM overdoses to occur in clusters as word regarding the drug spreads through different schools within a community.

Robo -Tripping Effects One Should Look Out For:

-Drowsiness, or confusion
-Increased heartbeat
-Dizziness or blurred …

Best In-Depth Guide to Dental Implants

I hope to compile the answers of some of the dental professionals that have had years of experience in the dental implant industry. Thank you for reading.

How Long Do Dental Implants Take?

What's the surgery time for Dental Implants and How many appointment's are involved?

After my research on the appointment and surgery times I've reached the conclusion that it definitely depends on the implant procedure that you are interested in. However, I was surprised to find out that for many of these procedures, there is a very short waiting period, a very short surgery time, and a fair short recovery time.

Here's a list of some very common dental implant procedures:

Single Tooth Implants – For single tooth replacement. The insertion of a single titanium dental implants followed by the attachment of a single crown.

Fixed-Bridge on Implants – For two or more teeth missing. Involves the insertion of two dental implant spread across two, three, or four teeth. This is followed by the attachment of a fixed bridge spanning two, three, or four teeth.

Over-denture – Almost like the All-on-Four ™ implant option but uses two implants of four and can still be removed with the assistance of a dental professional. For people who have lost all or the majority of their teeth.

All-on-Four ™ Dental Implant Procedure – This is the most drastic dental implant procedure. Involves the placement of four titanium dental implants either on the top of bottom of the jaw bone and are followed by the construction and attachment of a fixed denture that essential acts like a new set of natural teeth.

The Specifics:

Most dental implant procedures are done in two phases. The first, after an initial consultation, is the insertion of the titanium dental implant into the patients' jaw bone. For some treatments, this can involve as many as four dental implants (screw-like titanium embedded into the jaw bone). After there has been enough time for the jaw to accept and merge with the bio-compatible titanium implants (which usually takes 1-2 months), it's now time for the next step.

From that point on, an appointment is scheduled for the attachment of the crown or the prosthetic tooth / teeth. This actually only takes a couple hours or less. The newly fabricated denture or crown / bridge is then attached either by another titanium screw or by screwing the crown into the dental implant. Overall, you're easily in and out of the dental office within 2-3 hours. After that, you can start eating with your new implants right away.

Many have noted that they have had sensitivity just after having the prosthetic tooth inserted but most recover after a week or so.

In conclusion, It's looks that the first part of dental implant procedures take about 1-2 months so that your jaw bone has time to accept and fuse to the titanium implants. The appointment after that is to insert the crown / bridge or fixed denture and then most are …

Can Drug Users Get Life Insurance?

Drug use in Canada is prevalent to non-existent depending on what you define as a “drug.” Eleven per cent of the Canadian population “has a problem with drugs or alcohol” according to a CBC survey, but this does not include people who use drugs recreationally without “a problem.” That number, especially when you include alcohol and cannabis, is much, much higher, and if you include only people with classically-defined addictions to the illicit drugs, such as crack cocaine and heroin, the number is much, much lower.

In general, the way insurance companies approach drug issues is based on two major questions: is the potential client using prescription drugs provided through the proper channels, or are they using drugs outside those channels, and therefore statistically vulnerable to certain liabilities.

For the former, these questions are often discovered in the background checks and medical questionnaires provided by insurance companies prior to developing or offering a policy. Naturally, some drugs have effects on a person’s life expectancy and prospective quality of life, and others come with certain health risks, even when provided by a healthcare practitioner. In these, instances, an insurance company will take into account the medical issues being treated by the drugs and the effects of the drugs themselves in developing a policy, but a policy can usually be provided by most major health insurance providers.

For those who use illicit drugs, the options are generally more difficult. Usually, insurance companies are hesitant to provide policies, many are even wary of providing low-cost options for people who smoke cigarettes.

Luckily, there are some options still available for drug users, especially those who use illicit drugs. Remember, many policies will not cover complications that occur because of illicit drug use, and not disclosing such information when asked can constitute insurance fraud, which can be a severe crime that includes heavy fines and possible jail time.

In general, illicit drug users have only one option when it comes to life insurance opportunities: simplified life insurance policies that do not require medical questionnaires. This is changing as more and more insurance providers offer products specifically designed for the “hard-to-insure” market. Simplified insurance plans often require only simple medical questions that do not include questions about drug use.

No medical life insurance policies vary widely from carrier to carrier, so it is beneficial to research these plans before contacting them to compare potential rates and coverage. You can also ask your insurance broker to make an informal preliminary inquiry before you submit a formal application. Informal preliminary inquiries are non-binding and can give you an idea of whether your application would be approved as standard, declined or rated. Bear in mind that insurance providers may offer plans with coverage on day one or with a two year waiting period depending on your situation.

If you have used or are using illicit drugs and require life insurance, it is important to discuss your options with an insurance broker who has your best interests in mind. With …
