How important is flexibility?

How flexible should you be?
Not to sound vague, but everyone should be flexible enough, and “enough” means different things to everyone. As a personal trainer, I’ve honestly found that this is the best way to put it. Everyone should be flexible enough to support their lifestyle and goals.
Not everyone needs the ability to do the splits, fold in half or contort their shoulders. Training for those feats is a waste of time if you just need to go for a run, drop into a squat or lift weights above your head. Common exercises do require flexibility, but not to the same degree as the splits.
Your level of flexibility should reflect your physical pursuits and, like everything else in fitness, flexibility is fluid and can change over time to reflect new goals.
You can also look at this from a daily functionality angle. Everyone should be flexible enough to complete activities of daily living without pain. Putting on socks, tying shoes, putting dishes away on high shelves and getting into your car all require some level of flexibility. If you’re not flexible enough to do these things without pain, it’s.

That’s right. Northeast Ohio is not only home to some fantastic Metroparks systems, but Cuyahoga Valley National Park is also right in our backyard. And as a fitness enthusiast, Emily has been wanting to explore some local hiking trails. Turns out, there are no shortage of options. So, Emily visited two great spots to work up a sweat, and also check out some stunning fall views.
First stop: Bridal Veil Falls and The Buckeye Trail @ Cleveland Metroparks Bedford Reservation.
This reservation features a deep gorge — declared a National Natural Landmark — carved out by Tinker’s Creek, with picturesque vistas and waterfalls. Mature trees and abundant wildflowers are found within its deep forests. It offers trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, as well as picnic areas and Shawnee Hills Golf Course. At over 2,200 acres, Bedford Reservation gives the appearance of a continuous forest of large trees as it was not logged due to its rugged terrain. Tinker’s Creek, the largest tributary of the Cuyahoga River. A scenic overlook along Gorge Parkway offers a spectacular vista, particularly in the fall.
Second stop: The Ledges @ Cuyahoga Valley National Park
The Ritchie Ledges are witnesses to change – from creation out of Sharon Conglomerate millions of years ago, to landscapes wrecked by humans and to preservation today. The Ledges drew many visitors in the 19th century who came here to recreate and play. One of those, wealthy industrialist Hayward Kendall, purchased the area and set it aside to become the Virginia Kendall Park. Today, the ledges is a favorite for many, to hike, play in the field, and enjoy the sunset at the overlook. The trail around The Ledges is 1.8 miles and connects to a larger network of trails in the Virginia Kendall Area.

From the Bollywood diva’s sultry bikini look to billiards, chess and football game or “very tough” aerial Yoga session, the throwback pictures from her first Maldives trip are sure to give you major weekend vibes.
Elli has kept fans on Instagram hooked with her regular updates from the island nation and we can’t help but take travel and fitness inspiration from the same. While one picture showed her in a blue and peach bikini teamed with an orange coloured sheer shrug, another picture showed her enjoying a floating breakfast inside a pool while donning a fuchsia pink bikini.
Elli also tried her hands at Jet-skiing, snorkelling and swinging over the turquoise ocean waters at the Kandima Maldives resort.
When it came to sports, Elli was seen slaying in monochromic ensemble with a white net top and a black skirt to match with the colours of chess, a blue and peach bikini while aiming for the balls on billiards table and a blue jersey-black shorts while playing soccer. She captioned the football video, “I LOVE playing soccer! How to keep motivated with your fitness goals in the new normal
MANILA, Philippines — For active people who regularly work out in the gym or who frequently exercise in the outdoors, being quarantined at home for months not only affected their routines but also their mindsets.
If this happened to you, don’t feel guilty as it’s totally normal. The mind had different ways of coping with the challenges and changes brought about by the pandemic.
But it’s also about time to get back on track with your fitness goals, especially as quarantine measures are being eased. Some physical activities like running and biking are already allowed outdoors as long as safety protocols are observed. While gyms are yet to reopen, home workouts are always accessible and free for all.
Here are simple tips to keep you motivated.
1. Remember what got you started
Were you trying to lose weight, or were you building body mass? Were you training for an upcoming marathon, or were you learning a new workout?
No matter your reason, remind yourself of the goal that got you to the road of fitness. This way, you will also remember your previous mileage and accomplishments, and then be encouraged to accomplish more and ultimately, achieve your fitness goal.
2. Find your support team
While everyone must remain physically and socially distant with one another, this gap could be bridged with digital connectivity. Support could be expressed over the internet.
Knowing this, rally your fitness friends and invite them to join online workout classes together. By working out together, albeit in your own homes, you already support each other.
If exercising outside, you can find a running buddy so it wouldn’t feel so lonely. Cheer up one another as you complete your kilometers.
3. Try new activities
Who says you cannot experience new things during this pandemic?
Today, more and more Filipinos have already tried cycling not only to commute and go to places, but also to stay fit and active. You can give this a try and feel how easily biking could burn those calories. If you’re a first timer, best to also have a group whom you can ride together and watch over each other for road safety.
