As your smile is one of the first things that people notice about you, it's important to look after it. Unfortunately, the pleasures of everyday life can take their toll on our teeth and they can become discolored over time through being subjected to things like tea and coffee every day and the occasional glass of wine – all of which are big culprits when it comes to tooth staining.
It's well known that there are plenty of teeth whitening treatments available, but there are now so many to choose from it can be difficult to know which one works best for what type of problem.
One technique is called Zoom teeth whitening and is a treatment that many people choose to undergo because it is both fast and effective. Zoom teeth whitening is a fairly new treatment that makes way for immediate effects, making it a popular choice with patients hoping to improve their smile.
For example, the zoom teeth whitening treatment can whiten your teeth by as much as ten shades in a single treatment, which is a significant difference that you will see the moment you look in a mirror. What's more, the treatment lasts just one hour, making it an ideal lunchtime procedure for busy people.
What happens during this procedure is that the lips and gums are prepared so that just the teeth are exposed to the dentist. Your dentist will then apply a whitening gel to the teeth, which uses hydrogen peroxide to bleach your teeth to a more attractive coloring. Following the application of the gel, a Zoom heat lamp will be used to warm the area and activate the gel, which will then begin the whitening process.
The entire procedure takes no longer than an hour, which makes it perfect for busy people. The treatment is also pain free and incredibly effective – particularly when compared with other teeth whitening treatments on a length basis. In under an hour, the zoom procedure can whiten your teeth by between six and ten shades, which is a compelling reason to try it out.
Whatever your teeth are only mildly discolored or noticeably so, their appearance will be significantly devoid of tea, coffee, wine or tobacco stains following a Zoom whitening treatment – which is not bad for an hour's work. …
Your teeth as with the rest of your body need to stay in tip top shape. Often, a great impression is based on the way you smile and if you can not smile because you just do not feel confident about it, then chances are people will not feel you are worth knowing. When what's on the outside is not good, it is likely that what's inside is not as well.
Rather than give people the wrong impression, most of us will not hesitate to go to great lengths to make ourselves look and feel better, even to the greater of spending more than we can afford to at times. In a world that sets much store by physical appearance, one can not really afford to look and feel less than pretty or good-looking. Sad as it sees but that's the way the world works today and who are we to not go along with the flow, right?
Looking better starts off with having a great smile and having a great smile starts off with having teeth that are in great condition. Unfortunately, due to a conspiracy between genetic and poor oral hygiene, most of us are cursed with seemingly insurmountable problems like tooth decay, broken / chipped teeth, misaligned teeth, teeth that are too crowded together and teeth with gaps in between. When this happens, our first option would be to find a good cosmetic dentist who will do wonders for our smiles but charge prices that are so high only Superman can reach them.
The internet is a good avenue to explore when you are initially trying to find a good dentist. Most reputable dental clinics these days have websites wherein they detail all the services they offer, as well as the costs. If you're on a budget, you can narrow down your search by using search phrases like "cheap dentists" or "discount dentists" for example and pull up results showing dentists who do not overcharge or at least offer extended payment options to their patients. These online dental clinics also offer free consultations wherein you can discuss your treatment options as well as your payment options. It is best to list down at least five potential dentists so you'll be able to compare prices before deciding on the best one for you. You should also go for online dental clinics that accept all health insurance cards and offer interest-free payment options to further save money.
Another consideration in choosing the best dentists is their office location, availability for appointments and after-hours in case of an emergency. If the dentist's office is located near your work or home, you will most likely be able to keep your appointments and not use distance or traffic as an excuse not to see them. The same goes for when you are in pain and need to see a dentist immediately even if it is almost midnight, you should be able to contact them and they should be able to help you …
Here are a couple of tips for creating an eye catching card:
Use some color – not too much – just enough to grab someone’s attention and make them want to read the card.
Use a font that’s easy to read
Don’t fill the whole card with type – it looks crowded and people don’t read it all
Consider using a fold-over card – I have found these to be extremely effective for a number of reasons:
a) If a handful of business cards are dropped on a desk only the fold over cards stand up above the rest
b) The fold over card is still unique – not many people use them
c) I use mine as a mini brochure – inside it tells about my qualifications, services I offer and skills I have, the front has my name, phone #’s, email address, URL and postal address
Another popular addition is your photo – this makes you seem more approachable and friendly (if your business is one where you deal directly with the public I suggest you consider adding a photo)
How to make sure your cards are really working for you?
Have a goal to give away AT LEAST 5 CARDS A DAY to build your network:
Leave one with a tip for a waitress
When you “check in” at the doctor or dentist reception desk don’t spell your name – give your card
Carry them in your pocket when you walk the dog and hand one out to people you stop and chat with
Make sure all your children’s friends parents know what you do and have your card
Ask someone else for their card and give them yours (you can build your mailing list and get some exposure at the same time)
Enclose your card with each bill you pay
Each time you buy something (even at the drugstore) leave your card and say something simple like “I design Internet websites if you have any questions about how you can make money on the Internet please call me”
Put the cards on community bulletin boards
When you attend trade shows drop your card in EVERY box – yes you will get put on lots of mailing lists, but you’ll also receive some business too – you’d be surprised
Give a card to the gas station attendant, grocery store clerk, video store worker, hostess at a restaurant when you give your name for a seat reservation
If you overhear a conversation about your industry say “I’m sorry but I couldn’t help overhear part of your conversation if you ever need more information on the topic, here’s my card”
Offer to speak at your school’s career day and give each student a card – they do have parents who may need what you have to offer
Leave some cards with your stationery store manager – very often they get requests from small business people for different kinds of help – if you leave your cards you’ll be …
Many of the products we consume on daily basis can lead to having yellow or brown teeth. People who also smoke can really damage the color of their teeth. However, there are now many methods available to help repair this problem. The Zoom teeth whitening procedure is a new method of whitening your teeth that really works wonders!
What is the Zoom teeth whitening method? If you ask your dentist he could explain to you what it is, however this article is written in the attempt to bring some light into how the Zoom teeth whitening procedure works.
The Zoom teeth whitening procedure is a non invasive technique ran by your dentist or dental hygienist. When doing it, the professional will cover the gums, as well as the lips of the patient, to leave merely the teeth exposed. With a lip holder this can be done in a successful way protecting everything around the teeth. The purpose of this is to get minimal sensitivity and give the least discomfort to the patient while the procedure is performed.
After this is done, the dentist will apply a specific gel to the teeth. Once the coverage procedure is completed, the gel is melted with a Zoom light, allowing it to penetrate the enamel of the teeth removing much of the stains.
This light will stimulate the gel that contains hydrogen peroxide that penetrates inside the tooth surface. Through this process (which is repeated at 15 minute intervals of time) bleaching of the teeth starts occurring. Each time this is repeated (no more than 3 times) another layer of gel is applied, as the old one is melted.
After the Zoom teeth whitening procedure is completed, there are visual results that can be spotted right away. Some results may even reach a level that is 8 times whiter than the teeth used to be before. Being a non invasive technique, patients do not feel pain, but rather a tingling of some sort and some sensitivity to the teeth, which is not at all painful.
After this treatment, patients will immediately notice how their teeth have improved. They won’t only be whiter, but also very brilliant. This procedure can last as long as you keep on with your teeth brushing and flossing routine. The Zoom teeth whitening procedure costs somewhere between $300 and $800, depending on the dental clinic you visit for the procedure.
The Zoom tooth whitening procedure is one of the most popular procedures performed by dentists, and is recommended to anyone looking to get whiter, more brilliant teeth. Because it is so effective and lasts for so long (it can pass a year or so before you can go for another session), this is highly preferred by those who are in search of re-gaining their confidence which was lost because of bad looking teeth.…
While many consider podiatry to be an exclusive realm of all things below the ankle, the truth is that treatment of injuries and other problems of the feet affect the whole body. When the biomechanics of walking are misaligned by damage to the feet, it can cause overarching issues in the legs, knees, hips, and back. Chronic pain can reduce the desire to exercise, leading to lethargy and depression.
Help with toe pain
Toes are made up of multiple small bones, ligaments, and muscles. When something in these complicated constructs gets out of place, injured, or torn, the pain can be debilitating. A patient suffering from bunions or hammer toe should seek treatment sooner rather than later. Addressing toe pain earlier on can reduce the need for invasive treatments, and this may make treatment more effective in the long run.
Tendonitis and heel pain
Although tendonitis can happen in several places from the ankles to the toes, it’s most commonly diagnosed in the Achilles tendon. This inflammation can cause moderate to severe pain and make even light exercise difficult. It is most often treated with physical therapy, but other treatments can become necessary if the pain is severe. The normal causes are repetitive stress or not taking enough time to stretch before working out.
Leg, knee and back pain
Most people seek out podiatry treatment only after first consulting an orthopedic surgeon about their knee, back, or hip pain. Many patients don’t realize that the pain in their lower body may be caused by problems in their feet. Balance, movement, and articulation can be affected by injury or malformation of the feet. By treating the source of the problem, these kinds of injuries can be addressed more effectively than by treating the symptoms with painkillers or antidepressants.
Many patients seeking out the care of a podiatry specialist expect surgery to be a part of their treatment plan. While some issues must be dealt with surgically, many can be addressed through less invasive means. X-rays can help pinpoint a diagnosis, and they are often necessary in devising a long-term treatment plan. The options for treatment may range from education about appropriate footwear, to physical therapy, to specialized orthotic inserts.
Preventing podiatry problems
Many patients don’t realize that feet change in shape and size long after puberty, unlike most parts of the body. Many podiatry problems can be avoided simply by having the feet measured when buying shoes, and wearing shoes that fit properly, especially for exercise. When there are problems with the shape of the feet, or an injury that causes problems with walking, custom-created orthopedic inserts may correct balance and other issues.
Seeking out orthopedic treatment at the first sign of pain or strain often prevents further injury. Foot injuries should be treated promptly to reduce the recovery time and help ensure the fullest possible recovery. Wearing the correct shoes for activity and exercise, and taking the time to stretch and warm up before exercise help prevent injuries.…

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gherig’s Disease is a degenerative disease where neurons die early due to a problem with the autoimmune system. Your immune system attacks its organs and nervous system. The muscles degenerate and the body may begin wasting. This occurs because ALS destroys the motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. The brain looses its ability to control its muscles.
It is very important to firewood delivery Additional information understand that there may be a viral component to this disease. The body must be supported with adaptogenic botanicals to handle the possible viral component. These adaptogens include astragulus, ashwaganda, gotu kola, siberian ginseng, panax ginseng, and other botanical products found in Quantum Orthomolecular Medicine. The use of adaptogens may not have the desired effect for the patient that has a genetically acquired disease. If a family member has the disease, these adaptogenic herbs may not produce the desired outcome.
Treating and healing ALS with ordinary amino acids and botanicals is the basis for Orthomolecular Medicine. Large doses of naturally found proteins called amino acids stop the attack on the brain and repair its malfunction. These amino acids and botanicals are affordable and are used in therapeutic doses much larger than those levels normally found in food. The concept of orthomolecular medicine is based upon the use of very large doses of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or botanical extracts for the cellular repair and enhancement of normal brain activities.
The ALS patient should be given a three week parasite cleanse with one of the many herbal parasite cleanses that are available at your local health food store. This patient should be treated for heavy metals toxins with oral chelation for a period up to five weeks. You can consider extending the oral chelation if for another two weeks if the patient improves under this treatment. This patient should be treated very conservatively and any treatment where the patient does not improve should be discontinued.
This patient may be a good candidate for adrenal or thyroid glandular support. You may try an organic product and closely monitor the progress. Chinese patent herbs would be very good for this patient and they might delay the progression of this disease by several years.
Lymphatic therapy or massage therapy would be a good addition to the overall patient care. This should be tried once or twice a week. Reflexology can also benefit ALS.
This progressive and degenerative disease can be treated with Orthomolecular Medicine and this may be a curable disease. Conventional medicine does not believe that this disease can be healed. The onset of some symptoms may be delayed or kept at bay with very aggressive use of IV amino acids, vitamins, and minerals along with oral orthomolecular medicine two to four times per day. There are several key amino acids for the amino acid therapy and they include NAC, Threonine, glutamine, methionine, and tryptophan. Glutamine and NAC are very valuable tools to fight progressive and degenerative neurological diseases.
Medical waste, also known as clinical waste, refers to biological products, which are essentially useless. Medical Waste Disposal is an environmental concern, as many medical wastes are classified as infectious or bio-hazardous and can spread infectious disease.
Medical Waste Disposal is the most fundamental and crucial step towards infection prevention in healthcare facilities. It is also the most neglected aspect of infection prevention. This article shall highlight the risks involved in improper handling of Medical Waste and explain the importance of proper Medical Waste Disposal techniques.
At any healthcare facility all staff have an equal responsibility to dispose off Medical Waste in a manner that poses minimal hazard to other healthcare workers, clients, visitors and the community at large. Good housekeeping is the foundation of good infection prevention. Good housekeeping reduces microorganisms, reduces the risk of accidents, and provides an appealing work and service-delivery space.
The advantages of proper Medical Waste Disposal are:
o Minimizes the spread of infections and reduces the risk of accidental injury to staff, clients, visitors, and the local community
o Helps provide an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere
o Reduces odors and other unpleasant sights.
o Attracts fewer insects and does not attract animals
o Reduces the likelihood of contamination of the soil or ground water with chemicals or microorganisms
WHO IS AT RISK?
Anyone who handles contaminated waste–from the time it is thrown out by a service provider to even after it reaches the site of final disposal–is at risk of infection or injury. In many settings, housekeeping staff may not understand their risks. It is particularly important for supervisors to ensure that these staff know their risks and follow the appropriate procedures. The following people face a very high risk of suffering from infections if Medical Waste Disposal is not handled properly.
Staff: A large percentage of staff report having experienced Medical Waste related injuries and or infections. Sharps (injection needles for example) pose the greatest risk and can cause injury and transmission of serious infections such as HIV and Hepatitis – B
Records show that US health-care workers suffer almost 400,000 needle-stick injuries every year that could expose them to blood borne viruses risking infection from transmittable diseases. If possible, all the staff at risk of sharp related injuries should be vaccinated against Hepatitis – B.
Clients: Staff members who have not effectively carried out Medical Waste Disposal can easily transmit the infection to clients.
Community: Improper Medical Waste Disposal is one of the greatest threats to members of the community. For example, contaminated Medical Waste can be found by children who are playing and cause them injury and infection. In many low-resource settings, scavenging of medical waste is a significant problem. Not only are scavengers at risk of injury and infection themselves, but this practice can also put clients and the local community at risk when scavenged waste, such as syringes and needles, is reused.
By educating staff, administrators, and the local community about the dangers of contaminated Medical Waste and by …
One hears a great deal about mind / body medicine from an increasingly diverse variety of media sources. It is there before quite logical and practical for one to ask just what is meant by the term mind / body medicine. In the ancient fable of the three blind men describing the elephant, there ensued three descriptions of the elephant, each depending upon which part of the elephant the blind man contacted. This is pretty much the case with attempts to define mind / body medicine today. This is why I thought it a good idea to write a simplified discussion designed to give the patient new to the scene a workable understanding of what this term might mean.
For purposes of this discussion, I will greatly simplify the topic by referring to some of the more commonly used methods. Since all of these involve mental activity I suppose each could have correctly been referred to as Mind / Body medicine. The working relationship of mind and body is not a new concept. The scientific Greeks thought of the two as inseparable for a healthy body. For centuries this was not challenged. With the dawn of the age of modern medicine, there appears to have been a separation of the two. One of the more obvious reasons for this was the advancement of inoculations which made the contracting of some diseases regardless of the state of a persons mind. There is an exponentially expanding volume of observations in recent times which gives a solid indication that the cognitive, or mental, element is of severe significance in dealing with many diseases including cancer. There are many, many more forms that could have been included in a discussion of mind / body medicine but this discussion is limited to the following, each of which the patient can do for themselves.
The principal methods of what could be literally called Mind / Body medicine that I wish to discuss in this article are: relaxation, prayer, meditation and guided imagery. It should be obvious that these are closely related and can be used in combination for increased efficiency.
• RELAXATION: The pioneering work in this field was that of Harvard Professor Herbert Benson. His monumental book, "The Relaxation Response" gives a wonderful description of the healing power of relaxation and should be considered a must read for anyone interested in learning more of Mind / Body medicine. The value of relaxation as a weapon is graphically presented. I once laughing suggested that we all owe a lot to Herb for teaching us how to simultaneously relax and fight like hell! Relaxation is not an abundant quantity around a cancer ward where the emotions on the faces suggest great anxiety. Along those lines it is worthwhile to recall that there are two kinds of pain. Anguish is the pain we feel whereas anxiety is the pain we fear and this can be a very real killer. Relaxation is a logical first step in dealing with …
“Take two teaspoons twice a day from this bottle, one of these pills once a day after lunch and 1 of these pills every four hours if the pain persist but don’t take more than 4 every 24 hours” – I’m sure you have heard something like that at least once during your lifetime, most people might be used to hearing these prescription instructions from their pharmacists but what do these pills do to your body in the long term? Are you suffering from a disease so severe that it definitively needs to be taken care by prescription drugs?
Unless you are a doctor, a pharmacist or have knowledge of medicine, you don’t know what goes into these drugs; US is the country where several prescription drugs are made and also the country where the most prescription drugs are recalled due to unwanted side effects, taking these facts in consideration you should always try to use as many natural remedies as possible, not only do they not produce nasty side effects, they target your illness and are less expensive than even over-the-counter medicine.
At this point you might be thinking “yeap, another article promoting natural pills” – this is actually not the case, anything that is put in form of a pill has gone through a process where other substances have been added in order to preserve the drug from going bad and for several other reasons, so regardless of how many “all natural” labels the drug may have it still has substances unknown to you.
When using natural home remedies to treat your illnesses it is very important for you to do your own research, don’t take this and that just because a friend told you so; they probably heard this solution from someone who was just speculating or heard it works or they might even have confused the solution with something that sounds similar.
Natural remedies are all about the knowledge of what plants and herbs have the necessary chemicals to treat your ailment, for instance it is general knowledge that fresh lemon juice mixed with a few tablespoons of honey have the ingredients necessary to help you regain your health after suffering from the common cold and did you know that one tablespoon of onion juice mixed with a few drops of honey can keep you from catching a cold? It might not sound that nice but it is an absolutely natural way to prevent the common cold and the after taste can be solved by brushing your teeth and using some mouth wash which is what you should be doing at least 3 times a day anyway.
Natural remedies can be the perfect solution if your ailment is not extremely severe, so while prescription medication should be avoided at all costs if your condition worsens then it is imperative you contact your doctor. Use your common sense and keep yourself healthy!…
