LDS missionaries live by a very intense and rigorous schedule that begins early each morning and does not stop until late each night. The day usually begins at 6:30 am and does not stop until 10:30 pm. Each day is cram packed with a slew of activities that involve multiple things including meetings, performing service, proselytizing, instructing other missionaries, preparing for meetings and appointments, teaching investigators, personal development, interviews, leadership experiences and in personal and companionship study.
This demanding schedule, day-in and day-out for two years is intense and can take its toll on the missionary and his health. Since the missionaries rigid schedule is not what most young men are used to when they leave for their mission it is very important that they be prepared not only for the spiritual challenges that await them but also the physical challenges that await them. In order to handle the real stressors of mission life it is imperative that all prospective missionaries begin as early as possible in preparation both spiritually and physically.
Complete fitness for missionaries, therefore, is about being both spiritually fit and physically fit. Most missionaries understand the importance of the spiritual fitness and are usually somewhat prepared for the spiritual challenges but what about the often-neglected physical fitness. This component is just as important if not more important because if your body can not withstand the physical challenges you will not be able to withstand the spiritual challenges.
Each of these components – both the spiritual fitness and the physical fitness must be developed through a systematic process of hard work, sacrifice and determination. The spiritual fitness preparation should begin with studying the Gospel and the scriptures, praying, attending seminary and / or institute and serving others on a regular basis. The physical fitness preparation should include daily exercise about 4-6 days a week, a well planned, whole-food based nutrition program and sufficient rest and recovery each and every day.
Neglecting one or both of these components will result in a less than ideal experience once out in the mission field. Poor fitness with any of these two components will make serving an LDS mission more difficult and limit any missionary from reaching his full potential. Employer-based retirement health care insurance benefits continue to decline, according to recent industry reports.
Many retirees have been able to rely on private or state employer-based retirement health benefits for supplemental health care coverage while on Medicare in the past, but this is becoming less common.
Employer-based health-related benefits can provide important coverage for the gaps that exist in Medicare programs. Additional coverage benefits can alleviate the cost-sharing requirements and deductibles associated with Medicare. Some people prefer to do exercise at home and it may surprise you to know that trampoline exercise or rebounding provides a very effective method of cardiovascular fitness.
Research into trampoline exercise in a 2006 NASA research in the journal “Aviation, Space and Environmental Medicine” supports says that rebounding is almost 70 percent more effective in fitness training than jogging for a same amount of time on a flat track.

Trampoline exercise is also a lower impact exercise on joints. This is because the impact of the acceleration and deceleration is absorbed by the bounce mat of the trampoline. With all due respect to Greenwich Village Time, work buzzers, agendas and time clocks – they really have little influence on how our bodies keep time. The secret, omnipresent timekeeper governing how we feel and when, is a physiological process called circadian rhythms, and it's on this watch we need to map out our activities.
Circadian rhythms, and there are over 100 of them, lay the grooves for 24 hour sets and regulate every function of our bodies. Heart rate, body temperature, energy levels, quantity and quality of sleep, pain tolerance and so forth, are connected by these overlapping and on going rhythms like a rave party.
The disc jockeys mixing these phat bass-lines is found in a minuscule section of the brain called the suprachiasmatic nuclei. It receives and processes internal and external clues such as light, dark, food and energy, and keeps body functions synchronized with these events in a synergistic manner. When we're synced with our environmental stimuli, we feel alive and ready for action. When our rhythms skip a beat, the repercussions can be profound and long-lasting. We can not sleep properly, our energy levels suck and we feel vulnerable.
24 Hour Circadian Cycles:
Here's the typical circadian play list and how you can keep it locked all day long.
5am – DJ Fahrenheit drops the body temperature to it's lowest point of the night, and as a result we sleep better.
6am – As your body temperature starts to rise, you wake and start your day proper. Rhythms that govern sleep stop and other rhythms, triggered by outside effects called "zeitgeber", initiate other cycles. Light and darkness are big ones. Blood pressure also increases in the morning (and maybe even your temperature when you realize it's only Tuesday). Also: Drivers are 20 times more likely to nod off at the steering wheel at this time, so avoid driving if at all possible.
8am – Cortisol levels are highest in the mornings and this is not necessarily a good thing. Cortisol is a hormone produced by the adrenal cortex as a response to stress and increases blood pressure. Cortisol also wastes muscle tissue, so if you're keen on keeping your hard-earned muscle, 8am is a good time to reverse it's affect by downing a protein shake.
10am – Heart attacks are three times more likely around this hour than any other time of the day. This may be due to a) caffeine and other stimulants people use to wake and and get the motor running, b) the reliably sudden physical and mental activities from the dormant, ultra-relaxed state of sleep, and c) increases of cortisol in the blood.
12pm – Lunch is another zeitgeber that gives the brain hints as to whether active circadian rhythms are on the beat. Noon is typically when we are in the best mood of the day (provided you avoided the 10 am heat attack). Go hither and make friends and influence people.
1pm – Medical studies suggest meds are best …

If the temperature is found to be outside the recommended range the pharmacy supplier must be informed as soon as possible and if necessary the medicines are returned to the supplier and a new supply obtained.
Supply of Medicines and Maintaining Patient Records for Cosmetic Clinics
The Medical Practitioner is responsible for maintaining a record of medicines obtained from the supplier for use during treatment. A copy of the prescription is retained in the patient’s notes and the following information is noted in the Medicines IN register. The Medical practitioner must include the following details:
– the name of the medicine (generic)
– the dose provided by the pharmacy
– the amount provided by the pharmacy
– the format of the medicine (oral I IM etc)
– the batch numbers and expiry dates
The Medical Practitioner is responsible for ensuring that details of the medicines administered are recorded in the patient notes, including:
– the name of the medicine (generic)
– the dose provided
– the route of administration
– the batch number and expiry date of the medicine
– the date and time of administration
The Medical Practitioner must also document in the Medicines OUT register the name of the patient the medicine was administered to and the date and time of administration. This will ensure an audit trail is available for each practitioner.
All medicines not used or expired must be returned to the pharmacy.
In conclusion only a medical professional should be accepted on a cosmetic training course. This will ensure all practitioners have experience with the use of prescription only medicines and record keeping. The medical practitioner who facilitates a cosmetic intervention should be a qualified doctor, dentist, nurse or pharmacist. These specialists have the prerequisite medical experience plus understand their legal and ethical requirements in prescribing, dispensing and administration of such drugs.
Any errors with the medication must be recorded and reported.

Black pepper has been used for thousands of years and although this may not appear pertinent to the question "Is black pepper good for you?" we should possibly remember that some clinical trials of natural substances are speeded up because they have been consumed for centuries without any (or hardly any) reported deaths.
Black, white and green peppercorns all cone from the same plant Piper nigrum with black pepper being the dried whole unripe fruit of the plant and white pepper being the ripe fruit with the outer skin removed. People tend to prefer the taste of black pepper to white and there are far fewer culinary opponents due to the overuse of black as opposed to white pepper.
The oil from black pepper has been given to patients who have suffered strokes to inhale so that they can swallow better. Alzheimer's sufferers have also been given it to inhale with beneficial results reported, although more trials are needed to ascertain how this works precisely. Other studies have shown that the oil when inhaled has improved withdrawal symptoms in people who are trying to stop smoking cigarettes.
Black pepper has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and so helps to prevent the risks of cancers. It also may have anti-microbial properties, and it contains vanadium which is being researched for its potential benefits in improving insulin sensitivity and blood sugar levels in people with Type -2 diabetes.
Both black and white pepper can be applied directly onto the skin as a counter-irritant to scabies and for the relief of neuralgia. In the Asian subcontinent the black variety is used in food for those with weak stomachs who have digestive disorders, as it is thought to increase the flow of digestive juices. However it can cause dyspepsia (upset stomach) in some people. It has also been used in the treatment of bronchitis and cancer. Modern medical studies have found that black pepper may protect against colon cancer, but there is the possibility that it may on the other hand promote cancer of the liver. It is also believed that there may be a link between ingestion of black pepper and esophageal cancer.
Inhalation of the pepper (not the oil) can result in respiratory irritation, oedema (swelling), respiratory arrest, severe anoxia and even death-so do not inhale it.
Black pepper has been approved in foodstuffs by the US Food and Drink Administration in the Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) category. Using it as a medicine is not to be recommended. However, using it in food should not cause a problem. Inhaling it would seem to be a rather strange thing to do and given the results, best avoided.
If you use this pepper in the usual way then you should not have any worries. In the traditional forms of medicine in the Indian subcontinent it is not used when frying food, only in sauces and stews, or sprinkled over salads.
